Chocolate Meringues

A new cookie today from Nigella Lawson: these gooey chocolate merigues. The meringues themselves are fortified with lots of ground almonds, which makes a lovely taste and texture. Then the pairs are slapped together with an easy ganache made with butter, cream, and bittersweet chocolate. Dairy-free until the frosting, so we kept some plain for Giles, and all enjoyed them.

The plate? Generous Eve brought me a stack of these to OWN today, just because she is sweet!

they look and sound delicious--is your cream in the ganache dairy free as well?

I love Nigella's books--this one I never tried but if having a chocolate attack it looks to fit the bill:-)

Will you please share, again, your source for cream Earl Grey? I have skimmed through some older posts but can't find it...

Anonymous, I ordered the cream earl grey tea from www.englishteastore.com. On the left side click on "Our Brand Tea", then scroll down to 'Earl Grey" and click. It will be midway down the page. It is a wonderful tea! It is on the mild side, so if you like strong tea, it's probably not for you. It's just too bad it's not available in tins. But I did order some of the other flavors in tins.

thank you, Yaya. I will try that site. I am not a tea-lover, but have been told by my British friend that it's because I've never had proper tea, prepared correctly. I very much want to learn.

Anna also has a favorite tea site that I once visited and did not bookmark. Hope you weigh in, Anna!
